Whale Brand Ketoconazole Series Products Nanjing NO.2 Pharmaceutical Factory

"GLORY IN PHARMACEUTICAL FIELD!" This is the eulogy from the same occupation in the other shore of the Taiwan Straits to Nanjing No.2 Pharmaceutical Factory for their great contributions to Chinese public health.

Nanjing No.2 Pharmaceutical Factory is a large pharmaceutical enterprise producing both synthetic chemical drugs and various dosage forms including tablets, ointment, cream, tincturae, pulvis and capsules etc. It grew out of Bai-jing-yu Drug Manufactory and is one of the most ancient pharmaceutical enterprises in China. Its traditional products won a prize in Panama International Fair in the early of this century.

The factory is staffed by more than 1300 workers. 200 qualified engineers and technicians, and has 90 millions of fixed assets and 150 millions properties. Total sales topped 140 millions, among which the export trade is about 35%. The factory has the export licence. There are a branch factory, three companies, nine workshops and a medicinal institute in the factory. Its main products are 11 kinds of synthetic chemicals such as ketoconazole, chloramphenicol, lomefloxacine hydrochloride, levamizole hydrochloride ect, and over 100 kinds of various dosage forms in trade mark of Whale Brand. Now, the factory has formed four advanced research and producing systems in antifungals, anti-infectives, contraceptives and anaesthetics.

The tablet-producing workshop, built recently and supported by UNFPA fund, has good quality of producing facilities. Nanjing Organon Pharmaceutical Co.Ltd., located in Pukou new technical developing area in Nanjing and built by the cooporation of Nanjing No.2 Pharmaceutical Factory with Akzo-Nobel Pharma International Co. Ltd. and Jiangsu Family-planning Products Factory, is making new contributions to the population control with their new contraceptives and utensils.
