Yangzhou pharmaceutical Factory, founded in 1958 and located in the suburb of Yangzhou, with Yangtze River to its south and Grand canal on its side, is a lange scale comprehensive enterprise. It covers a land area of 190000/m2 with building area 120000m2, it employs a staff of 1800, 30% of them are professional technical personnel. The factory include 10 production workshops, 3 auxiliary workshops, 1 experimental workshop and 10 drug research institute.

For years since it's founding, Yangzhou Pharmaceutical Factory has been enlarging its production scale and increasing varieties of drugs through continuous technical innotarion and readjustment of procuct structure. Now it can produce 4 categories, around 100 kinds of raw material drugs and
preparations. It has advanced production techniques and testing methods. Quality criterial of main products for exportation are up to or superior to the latest BP and USP specifications.

Hormones are our strong items. Hydrocortisone Base and Hydrocortisone Acetate passed FDA inspection in 1984 and approved subsequent reinspection were sold to Europe, America and other markets with the top output compared with the same products. The project of Norgestrel and Levonorgestrel was donated by U.N. Population funds.

Guided by the policy of openign to the world. the factory is looking forward to cooperating with the counterparts of the same trade and foreign friends based on the principle of mutual benefit and common development and has trade talk on products, the introduction of technology, joint venture and compensation trade. Yangzhou Pharmaceutical Factory was granted the right for import and export by the government in 1993. Since then, they can set up business with foreigh countries
