Jingjiang Shipyard is a state medium-sized enterprise specialized in ship-building, ship-scrapping, ship-repairing, pressure container ¢ñ&¢òmanufacturing and one of the biggest transportation facilities producing industries in China.

It is located in the southeast corner of Jingjiang and 10km apart from Jiangyin Changjiang Great Bridge. It is about 140km from Shanghai by waterway. The shipyard faces to wide river surface and has 1,200 meter's bankline with deep water and stable current. The depth of water that is 50 meters apart from the bank is 18-20m. It has a capacity to build 200,000 tonnage vessels for its favorable natural conditions.

It has facilities including dry dock equipped with grantry crane, flow line of shot blasting steel plate & section, outfitting wharf, transformer, computer control cutting machines, area block- making workshop and fabricating platform and collecting & distributing site, various, machineries of metal-treatment, pipe-treatment and transportation. At present, the annual productive capacity is up to four(4) vessels below 50,000 tonnage. Now two (2) 12,000 DWT L/B Carrier, one(1) 17,500 DWLT Crude Oil Tanker and 17,500 DWLT White Oil Tanker are under construction.

In recent years, It has mainly built more than 50 various kinds of vessels for Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Hong Kong, etc.

Now, the new technological transformation is in process stage by stage, In 2000 years, the shipyard will have a capacity to build below 100,000 tonnage with annual output 8-10 vessels.

The Picture Shows 12000DWT Log/Bulk Carrier which is built by Jingjiang Shipyard for Kingstar Shipping LTD. HongKong. The vessel is equipped with a single screw driving by a low speed diesel engine, and belongs to aft engine and large hatch.
